I am slowly scanning in the huge haul of old Electra literature and advertisements, and I'm sending the .jpg's to Thorny who will ensure they make it onto the website. For current and future generations to enjoy. :D

I just finished with one of them, an 8 page newspaper type piece called the "St. Louis Electra Tech News", VOL. 1 Issue 1 from 1982, I assume... since it heralds "For 1983, Electra has a new look!" and says "In the coming months, you will see new Electra models which have a brand new logo." And "For 1983, Electra is changing, and the new guitars wear this new logo with pride."

This one is probably my favorite of the entire haul! It has some new info for us, a photo of the SLM shop including Rene Lopez (we finally get to see him), and the COOLEST advertisement for the X-935 vs. a Les Paul!!! Which is amazing...

So anyhow, keep your eyes pealed. This is seriously cool stuff that I had never seen before. Hopefully it's equally as cool to you all!

Here's just the ad from the back page, the X-935 vs. the Les Paul... I had to piece the two scans together... enjoy!!! :hyper:

Are you ready for this?!

It's an 11.5" x 17" back page, so cool....

Anyone seen this before?

"GREAT Googiley moogilie Jack...jumpin jehosephat, hot dang and all".
