I purchased an Electria X290 new back in 1982. It was my first guitar and I love it. It has been stolen from me twice over the years. The first time my wife found it in a local pawn store and bought it back for me. The second time the police managed to get it back for me, but the bridge was missing. I'd love to plat it again. Can anyone tell me where I might find a bridge for a X290 Morkingman

I think it is just like the other electra X series guitars. If it is, this should work,_ta ... hings.html

the 1511 is the one. The trick is, you have to use the posts that come with the bridge, and screw those into the threaded bushings already in the guitar. The place the new bridge on the new posts. The larger Chinese made bridge works fine too generally, and costs less, but the Gotoh is generally a little nicer.

I wind up replacing the bridge on most of my electras with the new one because the real bridges frequently are corroded, sometimes the saddles won't adjust, or they are worn badly and are sharp. I think the new ones generally look better, intonate better, and sound better.
