I had heard on the news last week that B.B. King had put his self in hospice and a few days later had read of his passing. I saw today that he will be taken to MS to be laid to rest. His music can be heard everywhere, even when not expecting it in restaurants, stores, TV, music magazines and radio. Some of the bands on the Rock on the Range broadcast mentioned it also. Most all the players that influenced me were influenced buy him, and for that I must say Thank You. Thanks for doing it the way you did it and everything you gave us.
You will be missed,

My wife and I saw him several years back at a concert locally. We really enjoyed it. I have to say, that we went out of our way to see him, frankly we don't get out that much. We thought it might be the final opportunity for us to see the last great bluesman of the "era". Well, we were wrong, he went on touring until fairly recently - for several more years. He put on a good show too when we saw him. He had the reputation for being the gentleman. A great show and I am thankful to have seen him. I never got to see any of the others. He is missed.
