My kit has arrived from NZ safe and sound, and my only - and much prized! - Phoenix is on the wall...

Surrounded by Matsumoku goodness at the moment with Westones everywhere, and this..

... which I bought in Aussie 2 years ago and immediately sent back to NZ, and never played it amplified!! I gotta say... hell, yeah!!

Thanks, Steve; I'm looking forward to putting the old girl back to OEM specs with that humongous Electra bridge, eh! I mean the Wilkinson is a great wee piece of kit, but I've yet to see a sustain block as chunky as the one that came with the Phoenix; it was a real shame that someone had screwed down the the front edge and chewed it up so badly that there was never a hope of restoration.

I've just taken the tapered Westone knobs off it and whacked on some notched speed knobs..... not sure which I prefer now!! :lol:
