Just scavenged this out of a pawn shop. I spent a couple evenings cleaning up the heavy oxidation on frets and some of the hardware.

Finally got strings on it last night, still needs a set up. Haven't even plugged it in to an amp yet.

The only S-H-S Electra that was sold. Nice save, looking good!

yes, tbey are; I value mine very highly indeed....

Didn't realise they had the tapered Switchmaster knobs on; mine has the notched speed knobs!

Front edge of the bridge is broken by the screws under the E & A strings. And the adjustment screws on the saddles were pretty rusty, so I put on a used set of Graph Tech saddles I had sitting around, which had good screws & springs. I'm interested to hear the tones through an amp.

mine has switchmaster knobs too, I think first years had the notch knobs and later had switchmasters.

This looks like 1984, I suppose, s/n 40508xx.

Plugged it in to an amp and everything works fine. Hit the pots w/ Deoxit since I had the back open anyway. Dialed in the set-up a little closer. It's come together pretty well. I still need to adjust the pickup height and figure out what the switching scheme is.

Here's a ding on the body:

Very nice. I have guitars with worse scars than that.

8) These are super cool and fun players. I like mine very much as it offers a bit different tone selections and I like the Blueburst as well. Congrats on a nice one.

One more gratuitous photo… then I'm done, I swear.

I've been playing this thing through a '65 Vibrolux, and it's pretty charming. Favorite tones are #2 and #4 with the middle pickup in single coil mode. More strat-ish than my Stratocaster!
