I dragged most of my old-school gigging gear out of travel cases and hooked it all up to see if it still worked - which was an exercise in frustration as I'd forgotten how I used to do it!! - and here we go, then!

The Lady. Looks good in there, eh?! I'd not played it at anything like stage volume until today, and I have to say I'm a believer in Uncle Tom's pickup and wiring setup; simple and intuitive with just about every tone you'd want available very quickly!

Kudos, TP!!

OK... the dirty secret... I mostly played the little Corsair Avenger in this session. Why? Becasue it's light and simple and the sound of that MMK45 combined with a maple body and neck is just sublime... the more gain it got fed the better it liked it; no FX on it at the quite loud levels I took it to - still not stage volume, I hasten to add!! - and the overdrive was just beautiful, even through a S/S amp/PA setup!!

So, sorry about that Electra folk; but don't get me wrong - that Lady is an absolute belter and I'd take her onstage anytime!
