There's a MMK45 pickup on eBay currently, only one, but maybe you have a project:

Seller says it only has three inches of lead, and two conductors. I thought that these pickups had four conductors... anybody know the full story? Maybe they had different versions for all I know. Anyway, its not mine, and I don't have any project guitars right now, but at a $2 starting bid, how can you go wrong? At the very least it would make a cool paper weight! Cheers, Mike.

Some had three and some had four. If it only has three it is not that hard to separate the leads and end up with four. Just be careful.

Great Googlymoogly, that MMK45 ended up going for $45... I mean I thought it was an interesting item, but yikes! I have no doubt that it is a working pickup as the seller indicated the ohm resistance in the listing, but I didn't imagine it would be THAT desirable. If anyone on this forum picked it up, tell us how it sounds! Mike.

They're good pickups. I don't know how much they normally go for (and I would like more length in the lead), but $45 really isn't bad for a decent pickup. Anyway, I have 45s in my X-950 and they sound great! I may have potted them at some point (can't remember now), but I've never considered replacing them.

I agree that MMK45's are worth every penny of $45 each. They don't usualy go for that much though. I got a pair a bit over a year ago for $22 :)
