Have you ever rescued a dog from the shelter? Do you know the look of love and gratitude in their eyes when you take them home? That's my x280. She was rescued from an abusive relationship with a teenager who was neglectful, dropped her, stripped her of her parts (!!) and her dignity. When I found her, she was nothing but a battered body and a disconnected neck. What parts of her were still left were stuffed into an old brown paper grocery bag and abandoned in a high school music department instrument storage locker. The music teacher said the dismembered Electra had been hanging around for years and she was getting ready to "put her down" until I came along and rescued her.

When I got her home, I could see that she had not been loved appropriately. Her body was scarred from years of abuse, her head was missing significant chunks, and she had a pretty good crack along her neck joint. Thank goodness I knew an expert luthier who helped to repair her brokenness, reset her neck, fix her frets, adjust her truss, and replace what parts were missing.

15 years later she still plays like a dream. We've been down many roads together, however, it is time for us to part. I am looking for a good home for her. Will you help?
(cue: Sarah MacLachlan).

Because of her history, non-original parts, and many repairs, I'm sure she is not worth what an instrument like this would be in mint condition. Would you like to make an offer?

PM me for more pics and details...
