I'm an Electra nube (although have been a Matsumoku collector for some time..
Recently got a beautiful cut out headstock, bolt-on neck LP clone at a yard sale.

It has a flame maple top --only says SLM on the truss rod cover ---sticker on the back has no model number, but has serial number 06562. I believe the pickups are the super magnaflux (neck is humbucker with cover, bridge is different -top row of pole pieces square). Clear pickguard. Typical LP rhythm/treble switch

I have pictures, but can't figure out how to upload.

thanks for any information.

kevin

I'd say that's an early 2245. Most have wave headstocks and truss rod covers that say Custom on them. Yours looks very nice. Welcome to Electra's!

Cut out headstock dates it to circa 1976 to early 1977 when the wave headstock was phased in. Foil sticker with serial number really has no reference or meaning and is useless in determining year. Best way of determining year is the looks and parts on it. Factory is Matsumoku I believe (unless someone else knows better). Model is what is stated in the earlier post. Welcome to the Electra world!

Thanks --I couldn't quite fit my guitar to any of the model pictures.
Didn't see the "Steel Adjustable Neck" printed on the neck plate, so doubted Matsumoku build.

This is a great looking, playing and sounding machine --not bad for a $200 yard sale special.

It could be Kasuga if you read the post in the topic, not Terada.
