Hey, this is the X940 I picked up at the Indianapolis Guitar Show a couple weeks back after I restored it. It isn't perfect, but is really pretty good condition and I really like this one. I love the look of the blonde electras. You just don't see many classy blonde guitars made any longer, and Electra had several models done right. It now looks and operates like it should - correctly. These are classy guitars with the matching headstock and tortoise binding. Everything works as it should, and for the most part looks like it should too. I have a replacement tortoiseshell LP guard ordered for it that I will possibly have to trim and fit, but it isn't in yet. The guitar is quite good, it plays well, I oiled the fret board, polished it up, put new strings on it, set it up, put a correct style bridge and tail on it (not original, but chrome metric tunomatic), replaced missing covers, fixed wiring issues, replaced "flapper" switches. I put an electra pickup in the bridge position. I even made certain to put matching "pointers" on the volume and tone control as were on the MPC pots. It sounds and plays great. Yeah, it has some dings, chips, and some finish cracks (on the top, look like spalting sort of, but nothing structural to cause this) - but all cosmetic nothing to cause a concern. It still looks great and the guitar ROCKS. I have an original case with it too (but it is a little rough, but still protects it nicely).

This one was restored first because I had most of the parts to do it correctly already stashed away. Now I am working more on the X930 Betts, and restoring the MPC parts to it.

I got the guard in. I had to trim it a little bit to make it fit better, but it very minor. The color was a pretty good match too. I'd have to "age" it if I wanted it any better.
