 Post subject: Foot Pedal longshot

Years ago, many years in a galaxy far away, I had a friend that made a foot pedal that was published in a popular mechanics or similar magazine that had 4 foot switches on it. Each switch controlled a different circuit in the box. The box changed the sounds from guitar to banjo, to mandolin, to Uke? maybe. They could be used individually or in any or all combination. I've tried a internet search but only god knows when it was published. I even thought there may be something commercially made out there but nothing found. I'm just looking to add an extra voice or two to go along with the guitar to broaden my sound. Any suggestions?

The Electro Harmonix POG2 is probably one of the most versatile little boxes out there. Incredibly fast sync times, total control over the octaves, can do anything from Organ to 12 string sounds pretty accurately. Check it out:
